A sophisticated brand identity for an opulent hospitality interior
Crate47 undertook the restaurant and bar branding for Nine in conjunction with our parent company Liqui who carried out the interior design. The two practices focused on all aspects of the design – from the branding and menu design through to the furniture and light fittings. The result was an opulent restaurant and bar with an interior suited to its prime location which is complemented by our sophisticated brand identity.

Classic typography and an elegant geometric marque
With Nine, the objective was to create a brand identity that would promote the high-end restaurant and bar that occupied a penthouse location with city-wide views. For the restaurant logo, Crate47 chose a typeface that has a classic serif style epitomizing sophistication. This is subtly supported by an elegant nine-sided ‘nonagon’ marque of geometric design. Used within the interior and across all print items, these two brand elements turned Nine into an instantly recognizable establishment. We feel that the restaurant and bar branding came across particularly well on such items as the menu design and business cards where gold foil was used for the logo and marque which were set against an understated stone blue background colour.
